Domestic Shipping

Forbidden Piercings is shipping to the U.S. as well as Internationally. We are currently charging a flat rate of $4.99 for shipping and handling. Free shipping with a minimum amount of $28.00 only applies to U.S. customers. Your purchase will be shipped First Class with Delivery Confirmation through the USPS (United States Postal Service). We have to ship to the address specified in PayPal, unless you authorize a change to be made. The address change will be documented. Delivery Confirmation only applies to the U.S. These rates are subject to change without notice. You will see current shipping rates at checkout unless you have free shipping. We will do our best to ship your item(s) the same day as the order, pending what time the order was placed or within 1 to 2 business days. Please allow 2 to 5 days for delivery or longer if a holiday falls during these 2-5 days. Please don't get mad at us if your purchase doesn't arrive in a timely manner as we are trying to do our part. Blame the USPS.

Unconfirmed Address

There are instances when we start to print your shipping label and the USPS may have your address as "unconfirmed". It is recommended that we call to verify your address and may ask you to verify your order as well. Recently, I called to confirm an address and the person I spoke with said they did not place the order. To make a long story short, one of their kids had "borrowed" a relative's credit card and placed the order. Sometimes the USPS doesn't recognize the words North, South, East, or West in an address and recommends N,S,E, or W. The same goes for the abbreviation "St.". The USPS may want the word spelled out as in Saint or Street. Please don't freak out if I call to verify some information. Someone ask me "Is this normal to do this?" I feel as though it's important. We don't make the rules. I know it sounds like hoopla, but it protects you and us.

International Shipping

International shipping will be by First Class Mail International. The current flat rate of $4.85 for shipping and handling applies. Insuring First Class Mail is not an option. It simply isn't available. It may take 5-15 days for your package to arrive. It could take longer if customs decides to hold the package an extra week or two. This has happened. If you want your package in 2-3 days, please notify us ahead of time. The USPS currently charges $19-$28USD for Priority Mail and/or Express Mail International. The rate would depend on your location and choice of shipment. This additional shipping charge would be added to your order. The free shipping does not apply to international orders. If you live in an area the USPS does not deliver to, a refund will be issued. The Customs Form #, which I will email you, is pretty much useless, but the number will let you know the package was shipped. The Customs Form # is not a means of tracking. Since tracking is not available outside of the U.S.A., we can NOT guarantee delivery. We have shipped to Canada, U.K., Finland, France, and have not had a package not reach it's destination. Forbidden Piercings is not responsible for any customs duties or charges you may incur. If you have ANY questions regarding international shipping, please contact me.

Delivery Attempt by USPS for Domestic Orders

If the USPS makes a delivery attempt and leaves a notice, it is your responsibility to pick up the package. If after 15 days of non-pickup, the package may be returned to us as per the USPS. We will NOT reship the package free of charge. You will need to pay current shipping charges for reshippment of your initial order. No refunds will be issued regarding this matter. Please contact us regarding reshippment of your order.

Return Policy

There are NO RETURNS or EXCHANGES for BODY JEWELRY due to health concerns.

Forbidden Piercings is not responsible for replacement of jewelry damaged by misuse, improper care, or for jewelry ordered in the wrong size, color, style, or material for your piercing. We do not replace jewelry cracked or stripped by over--tightening. We do not replace acrylic items damaged by alcohol cleaning. Threaded balls or spikes should be checked regularly to make sure they have not come loose. We have tried to provide enough product description like gauge, length of jewelry (including necklaces, chokers, bracelets, anklets, etc.), size, material, color, etc. If you need additional product information, for example, the weight of an item, please contact me. Please inquire about all specs for the jewelry you are ordering if they are a concern. Please remember, as most natural/organic jewelry cannot be sterilized, jewelry returns cannot be accepted, and all sales are final.
Please inspect your item(s) upon receipt. You must contact us within 1 day upon receipt of your order if you would like to exchange an item due to a manufacturer's defect. I inspect each piece 100% upon arrival and shipment, so the chance of you getting a defect is slim. Handcarved items may have minor imperfections, and this is to be expected with a handmade item. If an item doesn't meet my standard for quality, I'm not going to sell it to you. Plain and simple. You may exchange UNWORN item(s) only which must be in the original packaging and unopened. Should you have an exchange, it will be exchanged for the same or like item only. If we are out of the item you ordered, we reserve the right to replace said item with a different item at the same or higher price, pending your approval of said item or you can wait until the original item is in stock again. Please do not destroy the shipping envelope. To exchange something, just reseal the envelope and put "Return To Sender" on the envelope and write the EA# on the invoice and a clear description of what's wrong with the item. This would save you the shipping cost. Otherwise, you'll need to get a padded envelope for the item plus pay for shipping. Contact us before doing this so we can issue you an EA#(Exchange Authorization number). We're trying to make this as hassle free as possible while making sure you're happy. Please allow 14 days for us to receive and process your return. Under no circumstances will returns be accepted without prior authorization or after 3 days. We are not responsible for unreceived returned items.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED.

POLICY CHANGES:

Effective Immediately:
We reserve the right to change, upgrade, or modify any item with an equal or higher quality material.

Effective August 23, 2010: If you demand a full refund for any body jewelry for any reason other than the item(s) being damaged during shipping, we will withhold a .30 transaction fee and any fees associated with shipping, to include the cost of shipping, materials for shipping, etc.

Effective September 11, 2010: Anyone that circumvents any portion of the checkout process will be issued a refund, a .30 transaction fee will be withheld, and your account will be deleted.

Effective Immediately:
If you fail to return to the website from PayPal, as stated during checkout, and you put a certain color in the comments section, we will not get that confirmation email and other emails as well. So in other words if you wanted blue and got pink, you are stuck with pink. If in doubt, send us an email with your name, product purchased, and color preference. READ PEOPLE.
